Thanks for the update, Patti. I'm glad he's okay and I wish you both the best. If you'd be interested in remaining involved in the project, we'd love to have you.
I am so sorry to hear your son is missing. My husband is also missing in Mexico.
as inept as they jmay be,the US 'Consulate is your main point of contact. Make all the noise you can to Senators, Congressmen and State Reps. Keep records of who you talk to and when. You will need these phone#s later. Keep a journal...you can refer back to later.my prayers are with you.
Hi... We started with the American Consulate in the city where John lives. Was your son visiting in Mexico or was he living there and where was the last place you know that he was seen? Go to this website and use the link to either the closest one to you, in case you have to go there or call them, or the one where your son was last seen.... http://www.usembassy.gov/
That is a good starting point. If you know the city where he was and you speak Spanish or can get a translator, call the police department there and file a missing persons report. Then talk to every newspaper, radio station and TV station until you can get a story about your son, or as many stories as you can get. CALL, email or snail mail your senators, congressmen and local government people... As Jeff told Deb and me, you have to become a squeaky wheel to get any results. Use this MAP site as a reference to what others have done... and use this MAP site when you talk to the media. Let them know it is not just YOUR son that is missing but other American sons and daughters and we are not going to rest until we have answers!!! Hope this helps!!!
Hi Patti... I'm sorry to hear about your son missing! What have you been able to find out so far, and who have you contacted? There are several of us here with family/friends missing in Mexico and you may find some new places to look or people to contact. Please let us know how we can help you!!
