Have you lost a friend or family member outside the U.S.?
Yes
If yes, in what country or area was the person last seen?
Matamoros, Tamaulipas, MX
What is your interest in the Missing Americans Project?
We are looking for John Edward Parks, US citizen, living in Matamoros, MX, who disappeared around the time of the latest upheaval in that city between the Mexican Navy and Marines, and the Gulf Cartel and Zetas on Nov. 5, 2010. More than 100 civilians have been killed so far. He is my business partner in an online hosting and design service. Another who will join is his mother who also lives here in the valley in Harlingen. We have been in touch with the consulate in Matamoros, but so far, all they can tell is that he is not in any hospital. We've asked them to check jails and morgues, but they say they have to "wait for the authorities" Because of his military background, we are afraid that something has happened to him.
Do you wish to be contacted directly by The Missing Americans Project? If so, please provide best way of reaching you below.
my email is texaspepper46@gmail.com
his mother's is cindy_lou782000@yahoo.com

I am at a loss at how to even start looking for my son.  Its like he stepped across the mexican border and dissappeared.   If anyone has suggestions for me - American embassy, whatever, let me know.    I'm so scared that something has happened to him.   Thanks
