Profile Information

Have you lost a friend or family member outside the U.S.?
Yes
If yes, in what country or area was the person last seen?
Juarez Mexico
What is your interest in the Missing Americans Project?
Dealing with Mexico is futile. In fact you dont know who to go to, who will either care or listen. My own contacting caused me and my family to be threatened. My son Kyle Matthew Belanger has not been seen since March 2008. He was seen in Juarez badly beaten. I am told he is probably part of the drug problem, I will probably never know what really happened.

Kyle, John, Ron, the two boys in the Juarez jail, the three Texas businessmen, David Hartley -- we really need a coordinated campaign of outrage directed at Texas's senators and representatives. I don't have the bandwidth to lead it, but I will be happy to advise and support. Texas is the frontline - we need to take the battle to Washington. I'll be happy to talk about this with anyone who could be willing/able to do the legwork.

No word as of yet of Kyle. I call many but am told it would cost lots of money to investigate because the Juarez area is so dangerous right now. I had a dream and I was talking to Kyle, I asked where he was. He said Missouri, then I realized later I was mistaken, the word was probably missery. I love you Kyle and I miss you and I am angry at you for going back close to Mexico, My heart says you are deceased, they say a mother knows. But countless moments and missed chances replay over and over in my head.

Ann: for what it's worth, I've learned to compartmentalize my hopes (which motivate me but I understand I can't do anything about) with the reality that future familiies will be in our situation. The first week Joe was missing, I promised that, no matter what happened with him, I would do everything I could to make sure the next family does not have to invent the wheel. Please know all our hearts are with you and Kyle and we are including you and him in our prayers. We will do everything we can.

Ann: Thanks for joining the Project. We have a lot of work to do. Let's connect and learn more about each other's situations. The system is badly broken and we need to work together to help each other and future families who lose people.

Welcome Ann...I posted an article I found about Kyle, I hope you don't mind. It infuriates me that the US government will help a Mexican national that was kidnapped on Mexican soil because it was a relative of a US Congressman...and they tell us their hands are tied!
Bless you...You and Kyle are in my prayers. Cindy
