What we know..

Owns aquarium/pet store in Matamoros, MX, and disappeared during the battles between the Mexican military and the Gulf Cartels and Zetas in that city, beginning on Nov.5, 2010. US Consulate has only ascertained that he is not in any hospital in that city or surrounding cities, and nothing more. They say they are not able to do any searching themselves but must rely on the Mexican authorities.

I did register on the website as a user and it says something about my username being used along with postings, but I don't see any place to comment.... it may be my cache is pulling an old page...

Shit! We'll have to link to it from MAP and FB and comment and share it around. What a knuckleheaded policy not to let ppl use the embed code! What are they afraid of?!?! GRRRR! We'll drag them into the 20th Century!

No, not up yet, but we will post as soon as it is.... Fortunately, there is no room for people to comment on Channel 5 after the awful comments that were posted after the other TV station put it on their website.

That's great! Texas is the hotspot right now. Is the piece on their website? Can people comment?

Super report on Channel 5 again... they also announced a link to MAP on their website.... so maybe we can find more people to help or who need help!!

I think Farrah and you connecting will be two-fold... more opportunity to get information for our current members... and secondly, spread the word about MAP so that more families can find answers... While most of the missing are in Mexico and Latin America, I'm sure that there are more around the world that are missing... like the young lady missing in Nepal....

While our young people are out seeing the world, many times they end up in countries where they don't speak the language, or if they do and disappear, their families may not speak the language.... that is part of the problem we are running into here.... Deb and I don't speak a lot of Spanish and it is very difficult making any kind of progress when we are not fluent. It is one thing to have missing people here in the States... you can go to the last place they were seen, you can talk to neighbors, local shops, etc., but once it crosses the border in any direction, we don't have US laws to help us and protect us.... we may not speak the language or be able to get around the suspicions of the locals so that they will trust us and answer our questions.... We need MAP and we need MAP to be international on a much larger scale!!!

Really? Cool!

I think Farrah sent me her number a while ago, but I dont know if I ever responded. I wish things in my "real" life would settle down enough for me to tend to my missing-persons "hobby".

Keep the pressure on the Senators. Mention them by name and express perplexity obout their unwillingness to help constituents in pressing need.

I mentioned to Farrah that she needed to get in touch with you since MAP is your brainchild and so much help to a sadly increasing number of families! There was just a screen shot of MAP on TV as a teaser to the upcoming report...

Deb - Assume it's a diversionary tactic until they tell you something you can understand and they can confirm. They're not allowed to lie, but the can B.S. right up to the B.S./Untruth border. Demand clarity. It's your right as a taxpayer. If you want to point Farrah or any other journalists to me, pls feel free. Do you have my cell number?

Ran another tv interview today with some follow up on John. The US Consulate called and they have asked the CSI agent in Mexico to call them and will try and get him to call me or give me his number so I can call him. Still just trying to get a answer. FBI has him in their system but what that means who knows.
