I received an email yesterday from the US Consulate. The Dept. of State has denied my request for a presumption of death to be issued for Ron.We gave them everything they asked for. It took them 8 months just to deny it. I have spent several thousand dollars and countless hours on this. To say the least, I am devastated and disgusted with our government. They would not help me find Ron or find who was reaponsible for his disappearance. Now, they deny me what little closure I could have and financial security that I am due. If I had a higher social status, perhaps things would have turned out differently.
