Adrianna - so sorry. I understand that helpless feeling - that hole that hangs there. I wish you all the best and hope you get some news about your father.

Thanks for the official stepping-in here Jennifer. Sharon - appreciate the inquiries. As Jennifer's answers indicate - there's not much that hasn't been tried and her family has tried some new things too - like the pick-up truck with the sign on it in DC to get the state department's attention. MASS emails to Hillary, etc.... We all want Aubrey home more than anything.

Sharon, there are ongoing searches with people from the U.S. and Nepal. Yes there has been a monetary reward since the beginning. There are/was hundreds of missing posters posted along the Langtang trails and in Kathmandu. It has been big news there since the beginning. Please go to www.aubreysacco.com and look for story links.

Thanks, Jennifer

Hello Alison, Were the searchers from Nepal or were they from the U.S. (aside from her brother and father of course)?  What type of training background did the searchers have?  Has anyone offered a monetary reward in Nepal for information, etc.?  I am keeping Aubrey in my prayers.  Sharon

I am by no means the family spokesperson or an "insider" - just a family friend. Aubrey is very very close to her family and was in constant contact up until the day she entered Langtang. I can tell youI the search efforts have been pretty extensive, initally included her father and brother, helicopters, local authorities, tons of posters, and at some point the FBI. There are some reasons to suspect foul play and there are NO REASONS to believe she is dead. There is some suspicion that people who may know somethign are afraid to talk. Aubrey vanished on day 2 of a a relatively easy trek in a populated area. Not a trace has been found of Aubrey or anything she had with her on the trek. No backpack, article of clothing, nothing. There are links to news stories here that can tell you more. Today is Aubrey's birthday. She is missed beyond expression.

Have any U.S. teams gone there to participate in the search for Aubrey?

We sure hope so, Matthew. People have no idea unless we tell them long and loud about the plights of the families who lose loved ones abroad. We're here to help - please spread the word.

Every little bit counts and I think this site will be another beneficial resource to finding Aubrey!

Can anyone elaborate on what search efforts have been made thus far?
