A junior at UNC Pembroke has been missing in Costa Rica since Tuesday, the University said. Deon D. Greene is studying abroad at The National University of Costa Rica in Heredia, Costa Rica. Heredia is just north of the Costa Rican capital San Jose. The University said it was contacted Sept. 7 regarding Greene’s disappearance. Greene went into the ocean and did not resurface.

Actions reported that night don't fit with the 36-year-old ex Army sergeant they know, and they question why the boat never stopped when he was reported missing. A search is on in Spain for Denise Thiem, a Litchfield Park woman who is missing and hasn't been heard from in almost a month.

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has launched a search and rescue mission for an American and 5 other people who have been missing since Saturday in waters near Barangay Maloh in Siaton, Negros Oriental.

Ernesto and Jesus Garcia were reported missing in Mexico after they did not return home on Monday. The brothers from Brownsville were visiting their grandmother.
