Does anyone know how to connect with the families of these men? Maybe we could help them and they could help us by adding strength through numbers. Maybe some of you Texans could reach out? Watch the video

Wow.. I hadn't heard about these. San Marcos is located between San Antonio and Austin on I-35 and is a college town with TexasState University at San Marcos campus with thousands of students, approximately 5 hours north of the valley here. Are they students??? Do we have names or ages of these people or where they went into Mexico???
I think they were businessmen who went to Nuevo Laredo. I'd have to watch the clip again -- if you or any of the other Texans could connect with them it would be great.

What is it about November? Most of these folks seem to have disappeared in that month....

The month of November is when the Mexican government took the Mexican Navy and Marines into Tamaulipas to try and break the backs of the cartels and zetas. The first battle of this campaign started Nov. 5, the day that John Parks disappeared and the campaign continued throughout much of November and December, although the fighting was not as ferocious as the first battles. This is not new for this area.. if you search youtube.com for videos, there were skirmishes back as far as last January, but it was not until November that the Mexican government started fighting in earnest. There were brief battles last February, May, July and September, but was never played as more than the zetas and cartels taking each other out without involving too many civilians.... It was just the November campaign that seemed to involved massive amounts of civilians...

November was a big month of violence in Mx all along the border it seemed Jeff. There was gun fights all during that month

and we didnt hear about all of it on local news. The Mx goverment tried to hide it from us. Just tonight I saw where there was

15 killed and 14 of thoes we beheaded . All young men I think connected to the drug cartel.

Yeah, those were in Acapulco. Can't believe you don't even hear about it on your local news. We need to clone Farrah!

I have found her to be a friend and a heck of a reporter. She has done more good for me and Renee than anyone else. She is a go getter and such a great person.

Jeff,

I receive links to stories from a LE contact of some of the things that are happening on the Texas / Mexico border.  It is extremely horrifying and for those of us who do not live in that area, it is a complete 'eye-opener' and so unbelieveable to me that people can do these things to others.

Julie - yes, please. What you're saying tracks closely with what Farrah Fazal told me about what's going on down there.
