Just to let everyone know - I have been involved in advising NGO's and church missionaries on dangers affecting travel, and precautions to take.  I have personally travelled extensively around the globe and provided humanitarian services - I am now part of the security industry. Frankly, this type of advice is not easy to give because many members of the church are just not listening or taking this advice seriously.  The same thing applies to NGO's, large and small.  It is really essential in the future that people doing medical projects, humanitarian work, and church-related projects put a much greater emphasis on safety and security.  Recent trends show a growing number of criminals & terrorists are targeting NGO staff, journalists, and other "non-aligned" care providers.  Your care-giver status is NO guarantee of safety or kindness from kidnappers and robbers.  Contact me here for advice.  KL, Los Angeles
