Samantha: Thanks again for your interest. It is a shame that for every Holloway case there are so many others that don't receive more than a bit of media attention -- and that either focused on whatever lurid aspect the media outlet can drum up or a short puff piece about the family's grief. None of the media organizations want to touch the problem in all its depth an messiness because it would be expensive to cover and might alienate advertisers.
I don't know anything about ribbon colors, but I'll tell you something you might be able to do, being from Natalee's home state. It would be great if someone local would make an effort to get the area media to highlight the larger story -- and I could provide plenty of illustrative stories. I suspect Dave Holloway would be happy to participate in such an effort. Not sure when the anniversary of Natalee's disappearance or her birthday or some other date that might create a good local hook would be, but we could start working on it now, find a reporter who has associated him/herself with the Holloway story, introduce them to the Missing Americans Project, etc...? Is this something you'd be interested in helping with? This stuff just always seems to get more attention when it comes from the grass roots.
