Well that is the next way im going Jeff. I feel the State Dept and the Cons. Office is a joke. And the only way I can see is start a news campaign and a lot of calls to the right people. Have friends in other states calling their senators also. I feel like I have been patient enough. And as a Mother I need to know where my son is.That is the only reason I had to go into Mexico myself today and see that this got done. Was scared but sucked it up for my child.

Deborah: I don't know if I've said this before - I think it would make a lot of sense for you to connect with Cindy Scheepstra and other Texans with people missing in Latin America and start leaning on your Senators to lean on the State Dept. It's the only way ANYTHING get's done.

The next step they told me is to just wait and see if the police come up with anything. I have so little faith in the Cons there it is not funny. They said they had sent out flyers and had them posted and found out today the ones they had were only sent to the other Cons.; along the border.......lol. The one phone he used is shut off and they said they could not find out about it Richard. They were gonna start going out asking questions of the neighboros and see what they could come up with as soon as tomorrow and the Mx. side said they would call me and let me know anything that they did so we will see.

Honestly, Richard - I half-hope the Mexican police can't track his phone. I don't trust any of them not to be in the pockets of the cartel.
Deborah: Glad you're back. I can't believe how flipping irresponsible our State Dept is. There has to be a way to get this stuff publicized. Did they commit to any "next steps"?

glad you made it back..... I wish we could track his phone -I dont know if the mexican PD can do that for you. If its a US service -they will require a search warrant to release it. Did you find the name of his service on a trac phone card?

Well I did make it back from Matamoros today. All went rather well. Got the Mexican Policia and the American Cons. moving some. The police there were a lot of help and said they would start their investigation right away. As far as I could tell the Cons. office had never contaced them till today when they saw me come in the door. Maybe we can find out something now, as I do know he is not in the Morgue there. Thanks everyone and Jeff thank you for caring so much.

Deborah: Hold on - when are you supposed to go down there? You really need to think hard about this - and IF you go you need to make sure people who matter (because WE don't) know you're going. Have you engaged your senators? You need to do that. Do you have any contacts in the media? I can try to put you in touch with people I know at NBC and at the Wall Street Journal. I'm going to send you my phone number - please call me tomorrow (I guess it's today) and let's talk. This is tremendously irresponsible of the State Department. We need to know more about this before you put yourself in harms way - because Mexico IS harm's way.

You stay safe, if you get any "funny" feelings, get OUT... John would not want you putting yourself in danger... and I can't believe these are the people that are designated by our government to protect our citizens beyond our borders (and paid by U.S. citizens taxes) and they won't go with you to the police station!! UN-believable!!!

Well finally had a call from Mx, cons office. Now they want me to come to Mexico and see them then go to the Mexican polica and file a report with them as far as him being missing. All along they have said dont come to Mexico. Now they want me to go in the cily all alone as no one from there will even go and help interpertt for me. Why do we pay these people if they are useless ?
It just makes no sence
