The Missing Americans Project

Looking for People and Answers

From the day my brother, Joe Dunsavage, disappeared in Honduras until today, hardly a day passes that someone doesn't say, "Have you tried getting help from Oprah?"

We've tried loads of celebrities, and the problem is that they all are surrounded by layers of gatekeepers. The closest I managed to get to anyone was Jimmy Buffett's manager's assistant. I want to try a different tack now by tapping the social media ecosystem.

I want to plan a series of Missing Americans Project fundraisers, starting with one on the second anniversary of Joe's disappearance (May 10). I need some big names to donate their time and talent -- names that will really draw. Everyone knows someone. Someone out there went to school with Bruce Springsteen or does Susan Sarandon's mother's hair or tends bar at a place where old rockers hang out when they don't want to be recognized. Let's tap this whole 6-degrees-of-separation thing and see whose back fence we can get to. If nothing else, we'll spread the word of the project beyond its current perimeter.

All contacts can be sent to me here or at missingamerican@optonline.net.

Thanks in advance, gang, and let's have a happier new year.

Jeff

Hey Jeff, can you possibly make up an official letter about the event you want to do.
I am certain you could word it all better than I could! You could email to: jbeernut@tampabay.rr.com

and I will forward it. Let me know,

Thanks, Jennifer

We're scouting out locations in the NYC/NJ area.

Hey Jeff,

Can you please give me an idea of where you would be having the event.

This way in my email I can give them an idea of where/when.

I know around May 10, let me know.

Thanks, Jennifer

Dear Jeff,

I think your idea is fantastic and I will help in anyway I can.

I have a few contacts that I will try. Joel Hoekstra is a guitar player for many diff. bands

and most recently The Rock of Ages on Broadway. Also a very good friend of mine

Cathy Richardson is a singer and toured with Big Brother and the Holding Company.

and Jefferson Starship. I will contact over the weekend.

A Journey member Jonathon Cain went to my high school I will try that too!

Please let me know how I can help with this project.

Thank you, Jennifer (Aubrey Sacco's Aunt)
