Cody Dial's Passport Found Among Human Remains in Costa Rica as Documentary About Search for the Missing Man Airs

The passport belonging to Cody Roman Dial, a 27-year-old Alaska man who went missing in Costa Rica nearly two years ago, was found amongst human remains discovered in the Corcovado National Park on Friday, authorities in Costa Rica announced shortly before noon on Monday. Dial has been missing since July 22, 2014. The discovery of the remains came just two days before National Geographic was set to air a documentary about the young man’s disappearance.

Missing Marine, Relatives Feared Dead, Mexican Law Enforcement Officials Say

More than three weeks after a former U.S. Marine and his relatives went missing in Mexico, authorities in Tamaulipas say they have little hope of finding the men alive.

Armed gunmen kidnapped Armando Torres III along with his father Armando Torres II and his uncle Salvador Torres on May 14 from the family’s ranch near the Los Indios International Bridge, the FBI said Monday. The men have not been heard from since.

11 Young People Abducted From Mexico City Bar Near U.S. Embassy

Eleven young people were brazenly kidnapped in broad daylight from an after-hours bar in Mexico City’s Zona Rosa, a normally calm district of offices, restaurants, drinking spots and dance clubs, anguished relatives said Thursday.

Number of Americans Missing in Mexico Continues to Climb; Law Enforcement Holds Out Little Hope

KRGV in Weslaco, Texas, reports that the number of United States residents missing in Mexico keeps climbing, according to federal investigators. Law enforcement officials said the chances of finding them are slim.

Body of Minnesota Man Missing in Mexico Recovered

The body of a Minnesota man who went missing after bodysurfing in Mexico has been located. Mark Stoneberg, 58, was on vacation in Sayulita, near Puerto Vallarta on Feb. 26 with his wife when he went missing at about 5 p.m.

Mexico Reports More Than 26,000 Missing

More than 26,000 people have gone missing in Mexico over the past six years as violence surged and the country's government cracked down on drug cartels.
