California City Official Gunned Down While Vacationing in Mexico

An American tourist was shot and killed while apparently being robbed in a resort town on Mexico’s Pacific Coast that has become popular with surfers and Hollywood stars.

Mom of Montrealer Missing in Peru for 2 Months Is Not Giving Up

Alisa Clamen is back in Montreal, after spending the last two months abroad, and she's ramping up search and rescue efforts to find her missing son, Jesse Galganov.

Bodies of Houston Family Missing Since January Found in Mexico

The bodies of a Houston man, his wife and son who went missing in January during a trip to Mexico are back in Houston.

The family of Juan and Maria Vargas told Eyewitness News that Mexican officials notified them that their bodies were found in September alongside that of 18-year-old Daniel Vargas.

Businessman Donates $100 K to Support Search for Montrealer Missing in Peru

Prominent businessman Mitch Garber has joined those helping to search for missing a Montrealer who’s been missing in Peru since late September.  In a Facebook post, Garber said he’s donated $100,000 to help fund the continued search for 22-year-old Jesse Galganov. Galganov was last seen on Sept. 28, checking out of a hostel in the Peruvian town of Huaraz.

Twin Sisters Swept Away by a "Rogue Wave" in Mexico

Twin sisters were killed in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, while walking on the beach. Barbara Jo (Sova) Thomas of McKinney, TX and Beverly Ann (Sova) Skripsky of Scottsdale, AZ, both 67, were hit by a rogue wave that carried them out to sea. They both drowned.

Apple & Amazon Cooperating in Search for Canadian Missing in Peru

A Canadian woman who is searching for her missing son in Peru says Amazon and Apple have released information requested by Peruvian police trying to find the 22-year-old.

Alisa Clamen, a Montreal resident, says it is hoped the information from Jesse Galganov's Kindle and iPhone will lead police to the missing man. Clamen said Galganov left for a backpacking trip through South America and Southeast Asia last month.…

23-Year-Old Australian Missing in Guatemala Since January

Michael Eather went tubing with a friend in the early hours of Monday, January 23. Their tube capsized in fast-flowing rapids on the Rio Cahabon and the two were swept apart.

While his friend was found the following day wandering around confused in the jungle, no-one has seen the 23-year-old since.

Update: U.S. Medical Student, Missing in Peru, Found Dead

24-year-old medical student, Seth Alexander Thomas from the United States, was found deceased on June 25, 2017, in the Cusco Department of Peru. Seth had begun a hike Friday afternoon on June 23, 2017, to Cerro Picol, San Jerónimo, in Cusco at about two in the afternoon. He did not return at sunset as planned and a search began early Saturday morning. Apparently, Mr. Thomas fell from a ledge while hiking resulting in injuries which caused his death. …

Medical Student from U.S. reported missing in Cusco Peru

On June 23, 2017, 24 year-old second year U.S. medical student Seth Alexander Thomas began a hike from Lara, Peru in Cusco district to the Cerro Pico. He left the medical clinic where he was working in Lara at approximately 2:00 PM Friday afternoon by himself. He did take some provisions and had a jacket.
