I received an email yesterday from the US Consulate. The Dept. of State has denied my request for a presumption of death to be issued for Ron.We gave them everything they asked for. It took them 8 months just to deny it. I have spent several thousand dollars and countless hours on this. To say the least, I am devastated and disgusted with our government. They would not help me find Ron or find who was reaponsible for his disappearance. Now, they deny me what little closure I could have and…

Finally got the packet sent to US Consulate in Merida Mx to be fwd to the State Dept. for Ron's Presumption of Death request.

I have never seen these articles before! She has only had them 2 1/2 yrs! and I have to get those translated as well, since the Consulate is not responsible for translating documents.

Thanks Cynthia, indeed grateful because we weren’t harmed. It saddens me though, that instead of being outraged for the lack of security and crime rate on the rise, we are, or if I may “most” be grateful because our physical integrity was “respected”.
Reading “PROCESO” a magazine in Mexico, I come to know, that Mexican Mafia, has mostlikely, a stronghold, guess where? No other than WESLACO, TX county, where my trailer was stolen.
Responsibility by American and Mexican governments MOST be demanded; the first one as the country of origin of almost 90% of the weapons cartels use, the second, for the lack of strategy and all de civil casualties because of this.
More than likely there is a marked difference in the work that the dogs did when looking for Mr. Scheepstra and what I do. While I can do the 'traditional' search and rescue work, we specialize in working older cases - being able to run 'live scent' even after many months have passed. While you will find that after a day or so, there won't be many that will run live scent trails, we will be able to do this for months afterward which is extremely beneficial in finding out where the missing person went. Couple this with being able to work vehicle trails which most do not do, we can add quite a dimension to SAR when working with other resources. Please take a look at our website so that you can get an idea of the work that we do. www.vk9sar.org
It is wonderful that so many good people are brought together by The Missing Americans Project, but so sad that this 'Project' needs to exist.
