Folks, I have worked more than a few cases where young men have consumed alcohol and wandered off and accidently gone into water.  I don't know why it happens ... All of these cases have been deemed accidental and from my work, which ends up tracing the last places that the young man has gone, you see how senseless it all is.

Some family's of the missing loved one accept it, but most do not, thinking either that "my son would never get that drunk" or "my son would never be so confused."  But these have all been senseless deaths ... completely accidental.

I don't know if Austin's death is another one where alcohol and bad judgment played a major part of his death, but I personally feel that everyone who loses a loved one, deserves answers.  I wish that this family had a resource right there so at least they would have the benefit of knowing where Austin went that night, which might help them explain and accept, the fate of their son.

Sorry about the soapbox here.  As soon as I read that Austin was 'in-the-water', I started seeing the young man's faces of whom I have searched for and it hit closer-to-home than it should have.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Austin and his family. It is aways hard when you get so involved with a case and it ends up this way especially one with NO answer to why or what happened. I hope that the authorities in Spain can aleast give his family the answers they deserve. With Deepest Symathy to the Bice Family. May Austin rest in peace.
